AFOR Experts' Hip Symposium

Lucerne

26. 05. 2011 – 28. 05. 2011

Dear Colleagues,

In view of the positive response to our highly successful first AFOR Experts’ Knee Symposium in Lucerne 2010 we are glad to announce the 2011 AFOR Experts’ Hip Symposium.

AFOR stands for Association For Orthopaedic Research. This Foundation was founded in 1987 through a collaborative effort of renowned orthopaedic surgeons and the dedicated industry. Its mission has since been to provide education and training to orthopaedic and trauma surgeons and to advance research and development in the field of orthopaedic and trauma surgery. Besides funding education and research by individual grants AFOR organises courses and symposia in German and English language, aimed at participants from European countries to foster orthopaedic and trauma surgeons’ education. Through its interactive programmes AFOR provides an effective platform for the exchange of scientific knowledge and clinical experience among orthopaedic opinion leaders and next generation of orthopaedic and trauma surgeons across Europe.

The theme of the 2011 AFOR Experts’ Symposium will be state-of-the-art hip surgery, covering all aspects from early disease related intervention and reconstructive trauma induced hip surgery to primary and revision total hip arthroplasty (THA).

With kind regards
